Angola Post selects Escher Group's RiposteEssential™
Escher’s counter automation solution to be deployed by CTT Correios de Portugal in Post Shops throughout Angola
Boston, Mass - August 14, 2006 - Angola Post has selected Escher Group’s RiposteEssential™ to begin automating its post office counter network. The first phase of automation will support 56 Post Shops with an approved strategic plan that aims to address a network of 160 Post Shops by 2012. Angola is now the fifth African country to select the Riposte® family of products to support a full range of postal, retail, government and financial services.
Angola Post is working with CTT Correios de Portugal to implement the counter automation solution. The team at CTT Correios de Portugal has worked very closely with Escher Group on past projects and their success and familiarity with the products proves to be invaluable to Angola Post as they move forward.
By implementing RiposteEssential, Angola Post expects to significantly improve customer access to postal services and an array of other transactions such as postal and money order services and bill payments. In addition, RiposteEssential will help Angola Post produce timely and accurate management reports and provide a platform on which it can derive business intelligence.
